[link]<---OMG DO not PRESS RED BUTTON
DO NOT PUSH THE BIG RED BUTTON! I WARN YOU!--->[link]
Summary:
First let me state: When you see a message on facebook that says "Don't click something", Don't click it. This particular scam or rogue is designed to play on some peoples willingness to see what's behind the warning to not click. The message text you see above has been posted by a Rogue app that friends who are a bit too inquisitive have been tricked into installing. The whole scheme is designed to make a person believe they are going to see funny clips and stuff like that, but in truth they are simple installing a spamming app to their profile and shown a clip they could have gone to YouTube to see.
Scam Type: Rogue App, LikeJacking,
Block App Link - ( You can use this to block the facebook app from your profile. )
The Break Down
Facebook users may notice some of their friends posting a message similar to the example below. DO NOT CLICK THE LINK given in the post.
Example
If you get drawn in by this message and click the link that is provided you will be transferred to the "Application Drop Page" screen you see below.
Example
This particular scheme drops you a page which is simply a screen shot of a website named LOLhome. LOLhome is a site which seems to collect funny clips, pictures and jokes from around the web and gives you access to these items in one place. The problem here is that I can find no connection between the site and this little scheme. In fact it looks as if this shot has been doctored a little bit as well. The site has no facebook connections or like buttons on it. If you click anywhere on this image, you will be directed to the "Application Request for Permission" screen you see below.
Example
At this point you are asked to give an application named "Laugh Out Loud – The Family Fun Place.." the requested permissions. It ask for quite a lot of access to your profile. It is very important that you stop and look at these application screens and not allow applications which you know nothing about to have this kind of access to your profile. In recent days facebook has announced that they will be allowing apps to request access to users home address & phone number info. So if you are not stopping to read these types of screens, just imagine what you will be giving facebook scam artists now. This particular set of "Permissions" will allow this app access to your basic profile info, give it the ability to post to your wall, plus your pages wall without asking and the capability to do all of the aforementioned things even when you are not using the app. This application is requesting all of these permissions because once you click allow, the following message will be posted to your wall without your knowledge and you haven't even been shown what was promised in the original message.
Example
While your friends see the above messages pop up in their news feeds, (Spamming Them), you are now dropped at a Youtube video which shows a man parking his wheel chair in a handicap zone. See example.
Example (Click To Enlarge)
The video shown can be found here on Youtube without this scheme.
Funny disable parking ! ! laugh out loud
Basically if you just jumped through the hoops, you've install an app which will be use to spam your profile and your friends profiles with a bunch of other facebook scams and schemes. If you see a message that says: "Don't click something", Don't click it.
