FarmVille Players: If you see messages like the ones depicted in the examples below, in your NEWS FEED, do not click any of the links in them. The messages were not posted by the real Zynga FarmVille application and are SCAMS. These offers are not legit and easy to spot as fakes. All of the messages show that they have been post via some version of "Static FBML" and not by FarmVille.
The Fake Animals Offered Are:
- Free, Red Gypsy Horse
- Irish Shamrock Unicorn
- Clydesdale Black Foal
- Lonely Shorthorn Cow
- Irish Rainbow Tree
- lonely Pink Cat
- lonely Black Sheep
- lonely Ostrich

Clicking any of the links in the above fake FarmVille messages will transfer you to pages which either simply ask you to spam your friends with these fake animals or ask you to like a bunch of other Fake Farmville pages before Spamming your friends with the fake animals. In either event these offers are BOGUS. AVOID THEM. See examples.

Damage Control ( For those who have fell victim. )
If you have fallen victim to any of these Fake FarmVille Animal Scams, you need to clean up your facebook profile immediately. You can do this by simply removing the posts made to your wall. This will ensure that you do not continue to assist the scam artist in spreading his ruse to your friends and even further throughout the facebook network.
To Remove The Fake FarmVille Messages From Your Wall:
- Navigating to your profile wall, then locate the message you want to remove.
- Once you've located the message click on the little "X" at the top right corner of the message.
- At that point Facebook will offer you a menu. Select "Mark As Spam" from the menu and the message will be removed. If the message is not remove or reappears on your wall simple follow sets 1 & 2 again, but this time chose "Remove Post" to have the message permanently removed.

There is also one with a pink unicorn floating around as well as some animals farmville releases several days later. So, please, be alert and pay attention where it actually comes from.
