First, Hello to everyone and thanks again for liking Scam Sniper. Please share the page with your friends so they too can stay informed about the latest facebook scams and hoaxes.
I have created Scam Sniper for one reason and one reason only.
To help me, you, your friends, your friends friends and their friends stay safe and enjoy the use of facebook and the Internet. My plan is to stay relevant and keep everyone as up to date and informed as possible about the various threats associated with the use of facebook and the internet in general. This is not a fad for me, it's a fight. A fight to keep our privacy, personal information and enjoyment safe from Internet predators. It's not an easy fight however. As we all have noticed scams spread on facebook and the Internet 1000 times faster then this type of helpful info ever will. Scammers know this and use it, exploiting the fact that most people blindly click and follow what they believe their friends and loved ones have followed. Exploiting the fact that times are hard and that most people will jump at the thought of a free lunch, unknowingly putting themselves and their friends personal info in the hands of malicious strangers who's plans could not be more clear. "Make themselves wealthy at the expense of others".
I believe although we may never fully rid ourselves of these scams, other malicious content and scam artist, we can slow them down and keep them in check. However, we all must do our parts. We must share our experiences and information as a collective, in effort with facebook. We need to use the tools and avenues we have available to stay informed and inform on these tricks and tricksters. We need to slow down our mouse fingers and speed up our inbuilt ability to notice somethings just not right when a link claims that a $500 Ipad will be free to the first 20,000 people. Or Your friend who may know less about computers than you, has started an event claiming a web site is glitching and giving away $1000 gift cards, Hurry and give your cell number, SSN, Mothers maiden name and the name of your first pet bunny... OK sorry got of track there, lol., back to the tools.

Your Part - When you see a scam on your wall, in the news feed, in your email, by chat or on the net in general :
- Warn your friends about it. "Don't be scared. It's better notify them, then say nothing and watch them spread it."
- Report it to facebook or proper internet safety entities immediately. "The faster facebook and other Internet safety entities knows about it, the faster it will stop."
- Then Post it here at Scam Sniper. "So others can see, share the info and report it as well."
We must show these scammers they will not take our social networking or Internet enjoyment.
Spread the message and Keep a sharp eye.
